The first time I choose brown leather over black. The brown was a great choice... very sporty yet classic; rich and powerful looking with lots of life and shows very well. Very comfortable with strong well made support that allows you to totally relax whether your reading, watching tv, meditating or rocking a little one in your arms. Strong and tight rocker spring and secure slow moving swivel bearings allows you to determine your position; no loose movements or unexpected surprise position. Ottoman supports legs at even body level for best circulation and relaxation in tired legs. Does not lower legs. Leave ample room around chair for best enjoyment and movement. Ottoman can serve as stool for small seat. Leather conditioner every few weeks keeps it glowing.

Had my chair for 2 years. It has held up well, with daily use.The surface of the chair is bonded leather, which is the lowest grade of leather. Bonded leather is actually real leather,in a granular form bonded with an adhesive type material and a backing. Chair surfaces that do not make contact with the person seated, in the chair, is Naugahyde. The only difference between the two surfaces is one uses vinyl and the the other uses leather.All that being said, the chair still looks brand new.

The Recliner is exactly the look and style I shopped for in high dollar stores. But calling it "leather" is false advertising,surprised "Amazon" would allow this but now I know "buyer beware" even with Amazon, better stated as "faux" leather or "leather look". I knew it was not real leather before it was purchased but hoped perhaps some percent was leather. Putting it together was a snap and anyone could do it.
