Urban life has always a quandary for designers. While the torrent of external stimuli surrounds, the designer is vested with the task of introducing calm to the scene. From out of the surging wave of progress, the most talented can fashion a force field of tranquility. Perhaps the most telling aspect of the LC3 series is how it painted the future world of progress. The coming technological era, like the externalized tubular steel frame, was intended to support and assist human endeavor. While the aesthetic rationalism of the padded leather seats foretold a period that would try to make sense of this growth. The result is an iconic sofa series that became the first to develop a new plan for modern living. If previous generations were interested in leaving the countryside for the cities, today it is very much the opposite. If given the choice, the younger generations would rather live freely while firmly seated in the clamorous heart of urbanism. The LC3 series is the preferred choice for reception areas, living rooms, hotels, resorts, restaurants and other lounge spaces. I purchased this to go with the LexMod LC3 Chair. Without the Ottoman, the chair was comfortable for short stretches, but you couldn't really slouch down and get comfortable for a long movie.I was pleased to find the matching ottoman on Amazon as well. When it arrived (also extremely well packaged) I was surprised to find how big it is. The footprint is just a tad narrower, and almost as deep as the chair. Looks just as good as the chair and now I can settle in for a long read or long movie and get perfectly comfortable.Seems as well made as the chair, which is really great for the price. I'm sure the "real deal" is made better, but it's also 3-4 times the price. 99% of people won't be able to tell the difference.
