Please, please, please do not waste your money on this item. I liked the idea of the cushion tops that turn over for use as tray tops. However, this ottoman is so poorly made that the cushions don't line up with each other with cushion side up. When I turned them over to check out the tray idea, I was amazed to find that with the cushion sides down, they don't have any way of staying in place on top of the ottoman frame. It looked fine for a minute until I accidentally nudged the middle cushion and one side tipped into the middle of the ottoman. Maybe this is okay if you need something cheap to store things in. But forget serving food or drinks with the trays up; they would get dumped into the middle of the ottoman when the cushion slides 1/4 inch and falls into the ottoman.I'm also frustrated that after spending $45 for the purchase to be shipped to me, I have to pay to ship it back, and there's a 15% restocking fee. When I paid $136 for the item itself, and consider that the cost of shipment to me and the cost of returning it is almost fully the cost of the item itself, I'm really frustrated. Please, please, please don't waste your money even trying this out, unless you have a use for it in the basement where you won't be disappointed and don't have to spend the money sending it back.Sorry for the negative attitude, but I am upset that I spent my money on this. Hope this is helpful feedback if you're considering the purchase.

This item came to our door in about 2-3 weeks, so it was not super speedy shipping, but we didn't pay for super speedy shipping, either.We assembled the ottoman and noticed that the trays did not fit in the bench as they kept slipping through. We thought we could fix it ourselves, but when we went to check it out we noticed that in all four corners the nails were pulling out and the inside fabric was torn, exposing nails. At this point I did not want to try and fix it. I wanted to return it. I contact the company multiple times. After a few tries they offered a "partial" refund. Um, no. I supplied them with photo evidence, as requested, of the damage. Then they said that I could return the item and get a full refund. Great! Except that now that the item is fully assembled it will cost at least $70 to return it, if I can find a box in the exact size. So subtract that from what I originally paid. When I asked if I could chop it up into small pieces, then return it I got no response. That is not really going to cut it for something that arrived damage beyond any hope of redemption. I contacted amazon's a to z refund and they also said that I must return it, paying shipping, to get a refund.So we learned our lesson here- do not buy furniture from amazon, unless you are willing to pay shipping BOTH ways.I am VERY disappointed both in the product and in amazon.

This may be the first review I've ever written. I'm doing so only because I feel compelled after seeing this piece of furniture fail me before owning it for less than one year. At a not-so-cheap cost($180), I would expect it to hold up for longer. The first place it started showing it's cheapness is the trays, each of them caved into the storage unit underneath, like a vacum. This is in part due to poor support structure and the fact that the base is beginning to splay. This is not meant to be sit on, and I didn't. But I would put my feet on it, which I also realized it would not support.
